Dr. Joe Kvedar is a pioneer in telehealth: I first met Joe when I did research for the California Healthcare Foundation on the history of telemedicine (publishedin CHCF's paper, Right Here, Right Now: Ten Telehealth Pioneers Make it Work, published in November 2008! Fourteen years later, I was delighted to spend time brainstorming the state of telehealth post-pandemic, and future prospects.
Innovation in health care in 2023 will not be remembered for the shiny new things in digital health nor heady valuations in bullish venture capital boardrooms. In 2023, the sexy innovation thing will be integration, I explain, in my January 2023 column for Medecision which analyzes observations from #JPM2023 and #CES2023.
